1. The Digital M Correction Creates Historic Buying Windows

The M11 and M11-P have experienced their steepest price declines since launch, dropping 18% and 26% respectively from historical averages. For buyers who've waited, this represents the best entry point into current-generation digital M bodies in over two years. The M11-P at $3,199 (lowest observed) approaches M10 pricing territory while offering triple resolution technology and improved handling.

2. The Q Series Shows Generational Stability

Unlike the turbulent digital M segment, Q series pricing demonstrates remarkable consistency. The Q2 actually appreciated 1.3% while the Q3 43mm held perfectly flat. The Q1 gained 7%, making it the period's second-best performer. This suggests the Q lineup has reached pricing equilibrium, making it a lower-risk entry point for new Leica buyers. The Q2's sweet spot around $3,400 offers excellent value for a full-featured modern Leica.

3. Thursday Emerges as Peak Sales Day

Sales activity peaked on Thursday with 29 transactions averaging $3,139. Monday followed with 24 sales at $3,553. The weekend (Saturday/Sunday) showed higher volume but lower average prices ($3,066/$2,836), suggesting bargain hunters dominate weekend shopping while serious collectors browse mid-week. Strategic sellers should consider Thursday-Monday listings for premium items.

Quick Shots

⚡️ Leica announced the M EV1 on October 23rd – the first M-mount camera with an integrated 5.76-million-dot electronic viewfinder rather than a rangefinder, based on the M11-P platform with a 60MP sensor aimed at making the M system more accessible to mirrorless photographers.

🔴 Released alongside the M EV1, firmware 2.6.0 for all M11 variants introduces custom white balance adjustment, enhanced lens detection with manual override for 6-bit coded lenses, Leica FOTOS app control for dust protection, and fixes for exposure bracketing and image alignment bugs.

🎞️ Adobe's Lightroom Classic 15.0 update now supports native tethering for the Leica SL3, SL3-S, Q3, and Q3 43 cameras, eliminating the need for third-party solutions and streamlining studio workflows.
