Three gorgeous camera fits that absolutely break the bank

In the market for a new Leica? So were we. During our last trip to Japan, we scoured Japan’s excellent second-hand market to find our first 35mm film camera, an M6, which would be our future travel camera. After hours of research, showrooms, and hundreds of kilometers walked later, we found our Leica M6 TTL .85 in gorgeous condition at Lemon Camera in Shibuya.
If you own a Leica, or are in the market for one, you understand.
We can't help but ogle over these eye-catching gems that pop up on the used market, and we're starting this newsletter so you can, too.
The Best Collection Ever

There’s a massive collection of camera gear for sale from an avid collector with fantastic taste. Prices are firm, and some of the items are moving fast. Some limited edition pieces, like the M6 Jahre set, M6 Limited black millenium, and the Hermes MP, have since sold. Some lenses are available as of writing, and the M6 TTL Platin with a 50mm f2 is available at $17,500.
Leica MP Classic

It’s hard to beat the fully-mechanical Leica MP. This example is unused and new in the box. This stunning camera is no 349 of 500 produced for Asian Schmidt Marketing, whose 60-year contract ended in November 2016.
This camera is a recreation of the original M3-based Leica MP (1953) and has no electronic elements. The lens is a modern replica of the rigid Summicron. This is the complete set with camera, lens, hood, strap, papers and certificate.
Find it on Japan Camera Hunter for $28,000.
Leica M APO-Summicron 75mm f/2 Pink Repaint

A soft pink repaint on one of the best 75mm’s on the market? Yes, please. We know this shade may offend some, but we can’t help but imagine how good this will look paired with a Monochrom M body.
This compact, fast, short telephoto lens has excellent image quality at maximum aperture and over the full focusing range from infinity to minimum distance. The speed of this powerful Summicron lens allows for beautiful bokeh at lower apertures.
Let the bidding begin. Listed on eBay at $2,998.
LEICA MP GREY HAMMERTONE LHSA 1968-2003 SET 10314 #3975

This set comes complete with a Leica 35mm f2 Summicron-M ASPH lens, a hammertone lens hood, a hammertone Leicavit, and a hammertone base plate.
Count me in. Listed on eBay for $33,000.
