1. Film Camera Market Share Holding Steady

Film M bodies represented 43% of all camera sales this period (65 of 150 transactions). This is consistent with the 6-month trend, which shows film cameras maintaining a 30%+ market share each month. Despite the hype surrounding new digital releases like the M-EV1 and Q3 Monochrom, demand for analog remains robust.

2. Mid-Week Sales Command Premium Pricing

Average sale prices peaked on Wednesdays ($3,867) and Mondays ($3,807), while Tuesdays ($2,841) and Saturdays ($2,924) saw lower averages.

3. M2 Emerges as Appreciation Leader

The Leica M2 posted the strongest gains at +21.6% versus historical averages. Clean, CLA'd examples are increasingly sought by collectors looking for an alternative to inflated M6 prices. With averages still under $2,000, the M2 may have room to run.
